The idea of starting this project came from a restless mum, a mum who, when she looked up from her computer, saw how her little ones were fascinated by the many characters that they saw every day in films, series, videos and, now and then, through stories.
One day, while her daughter was dressing up as the princess on TV and her son was running around the house shouting “I'm faster than Flash,” she wondered what would happen if, instead of seeing all those characters, they suddenly saw themselves. She thought this would give them the opportunity to be who they wanted to be in each story, but most of all, to be themselves. The anticipation of seeing their face in a story could be a valuable tool to engage them in reading, providing them with enrichment on a personal level while allowing them to have fun at the same time.
Attracted by the idea of being able to dedicate her career to setting up a project that would contribute to the learning and personal development of her children, and all children in general, she shared her enthusiasm with a good friend, himself a father, who quickly realised how much this project could bring to the little ones. Both parents then joined forces to make it possible.
This is how Editorial Cuentos con fotos, S.L. was born, from the partnership of two married couples who put all their love and affection into a project aimed at the intellectual and emotional development of children at such a crucial stage as early childhood.
These founders have a proven professional background, each one within their own area of expertise, but they have discovered that what really bears fruit is to focus their efforts on contributing to the education of those crazy little ones who do not always get the attention they need despite being the joy of today and the world of tomorrow.
